Brief Description:  McNally Capital is seeking to hire an Associate to support its direct investment efforts.  We are looking for candidates with strong business, analytical, communication and transaction skills who exhibit clear potential for growth, learning and adaptability.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently and effectively analyze investment opportunities (investment screen, investment memo, valuation models, industry/competitor research)
  • Live investment evaluation and due diligence (data room review, management meeting, business due diligence)
  • Financial modeling, valuation and other analysis
  • Primary and secondary research to develop investment theses and identify attractive acquisition targets
  • Presenting investment opportunities and industry investment theses
  • Portfolio company management projects (strategy, operations, performance management)
  • Portfolio company and fund-of-funds investor reporting

Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to complete detailed LBO models and / or bottoms-up P&L projections
  • Transactional / operational experience
  • Strong secondary research capabilities
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Structured thinker with ability to effectively synthesize and communicate complex ideas
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills (email, presentation, document)

Work Experience:  1 - 3 years of professional experience in investment banking program or similar experience

 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic record (preferably with an emphasis in finance, accounting or economics)
