Lou Rassey – Co-CEO and Managing Partner

Lou Rassey is Co-CEO & Managing Partner of McNally Capital. With 30 years of executive leadership and business-building experience, Lou joined the firm in 2024 with a unique combination of experiences that weave private equity, technology, and business operations together. As a former CEO, entrepreneur, advisor, and board leader, Lou has deep experience scaling up new businesses and creating step-change improvements in established companies.

 

Prior to McNally, Lou’s career includes over 12 years with McKinsey & Company, where he was a Partner and served in leadership roles in the firm’s Private Equity, Operations, and Technology practices. With expertise in operational excellence, Lou co-led the development of McKinsey’s playbooks and service lines for private equity due diligence and integrated corporate performance improvement – including strategy setting, commercial operations, product development, digital transformation, and manufacturing and supply chain improvement. Lou has worked with CEOs and their teams across sectors and worldwide to help build bold strategies and the operational capabilities to realize them.

 

A passionate technologist committed to innovation as a force for progress, Lou co-led a global effort at McKinsey to understand the future of manufacturing and advised on how companies and countries can best compete in the digital age. After McKinsey, Lou co-founded Fast Radius, Inc., a technology company that pioneered a new platform of software tools and tech-enabled manufacturing and supply solutions, where he was CEO and Chairman from 2017 to 2023. The World Economic Forum recognized the company as a “Lighthouse” for building one of the world's nine most advanced factories and software platforms.

 

Lou has served as a guest speaker and advisor on competitiveness and innovation for distinguished global public and private sector leaders, including the U.S. Federal and State Governments, World Bank, Federal Reserve, National Academy, and The World Economic Forum. He has shared perspectives in leading publications, including the Harvard Business Review, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and the Economist.

From 2015 to 2024, Lou maintained a role as the Founder & CEO of Two Roads Group, LLC, where he was an advisor and early-stage investor focused on Industry 4.0 technologies. Prior to his role as Co-CEO and Managing Partner of McNally Capital, Lou served in an advisory role as an Industry Partner to the firm, starting in 2016. He currently serves on the board of two of the firm’s portfolio companies, Dedicated Computing and Smith & Oby. Lou began his career with various roles in new product development, manufacturing, and supply chain operations at Chrysler, DaimlerChrysler, and TRITEC Motors, a BMW/Chrysler joint venture in Brazil.

Lou received his MBA and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, where he was a Leaders for Manufacturing (LFM) Fellow, an MS in Engineering Management from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. Lou resides in Chicago with his wife, Sarah, and three children.
