Genesys Aerosystems is a leading provider of integrated avionics systems for military, special mission, and civil aircraft manufacturers and operators.
McNally capital made a minority equity investment alongside the management team of Genesys in October 2016.
Why was McNally Capital selected as the right partner?
McNally sourced and screened over 1,000 aerospace businesses under our aerospace components investment thesis. Genesys was identified as a desirable acquisition in 2013.
To diligence and support the investment, McNally partnered with Rob Wilson, who recently retired after 27 years with Honeywell Aerospace (and spent the last 9 years as President of Honeywell’s Business & General Aviation business).
We were included in the process in large part because of our partnership with Rob Wilson, who could provide significant value to the company, as well as referrals to the CEO of Genesys from other avionics companies supporting McNally Capital as a partner.
McNally Capital and Family Office Investors Value-Add
The McNally family previously invested in and successfully sold an aerospace components business.
Two of McNally Capital’s direct investments focus on the design, engineering and assembly of complex and critical components (Advanced Micro Instruments and Dedicated Computing).
Since Dedicated Computing and Genesys share several OEM customers, the leadership and sales teams are utilizing each other’s relationships to provide incremental value to each other.
Furthermore, Genesys’ sales team is utilizing McNally’s relationships and family office network for business development.
